LinuxMint

LinuxMint is a distribution based on Ubuntu, but heavily customised. It can be found on www.linuxmint.com.

Most significant differences are:

  • Additional tools
  • Some proprietary components as media codecs and flash are included

LinuxMint offers ISO's for DVDs and CDs, that you can run as liveCDs and install directly while running the liveCD
